ANZAC Day is Tuesday 25 April, and we are letting you know about some potential disruptions to your local area.

ANZAC Day is a day of national and international significance that gives us all the opportunity to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served in defence of our nation and way of life, and those who continue to serve today. 

Commemorating service and sacrifice each ANZAC Day is part of the fabric of Victoria, an integral part of our lives each April. This year, we ask all Victorians to let their ANZAC spirit shine, and wherever you find yourself this ANZAC Day, it is important to pause, reflect and remember.

Dawn Service

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service will commence at 5:30am at the Shrine of Remembrance. There will be multiple screens around the Shrine to enable participants to view the proceedings.

Commemoration March

Melbourne’s Commemoration March is designed to enable those who have served Australia and its allies to re-form the ranks of their units and march.  Descendants of veterans are encouraged and welcomed participants in the Commemoration March.

The veterans and participants gather and form up in allocated areas in Flinders, Collins and Swanston Streets from 7:30am.  The first veterans proceed down the March route along St Kilda Road and up to the Shrine of Remembrance at 8:30am on ANZAC Day, The March is normally complete by about midday.
