Victorian veterans and their families are invited to have their say on major reforms coming to the Aged Care Act.
The Council on the Ageing (COTA) Australia and the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) are hosting consultation forums to inform the Australian Government ton two major reforms:
- the new Aged Care Act and the rights and other foundational aspects it contains, and
- funding principles for a sustainable aged care system
The consultations, which are being held around the country, will provide a way for older people, families and carers to share their insights and knowledge, and will feed into a submission to the Australian Government.
Face-to-Face consultations will be held in Melbourne on Friday, 25 August 2023 at the Rydges Melbourne, 186 Exhibition Street Melbourne.
The morning session will be held from 9am to 12.30pm and the afternoon session will be held from 1pm to 4pm. Click here to register for a consultation.
