RSL Victoria acknowledges the range of reforms announced by the Victorian Government on 16 July that aim to reduce gambling-related harm.
The full media statement from the Victorian Government can be read HERE.
The RSL in Victoria is committed to being a responsible provider of gaming, with 52 of our 267 Sub-Branches choosing to operate with a gaming offering. Revenue from electronic gaming machines provides a vital and essential income stream for the RSL network across Victoria, enabling the support and services we give to veterans and their families.
RSL Victoria has already been in discussions with the Minister’s Office, which recognises the essential work we do with veterans and their families as well as affirming its continued commitment to support the RSL network in Victoria.
RSL Victoria will be working with the State Government to discuss the implementation of the new reforms and to minimise the impact on the funding of our essential veteran support services.
