Applications for grants of up to $50,000 under the Restoring Community War Memorials and Avenues of Honour, Veterans Capital Works, and Victoria Remembers grant programs are now open.

These three grant programs will provide funding for building and facility upgrades as well as further support for the Victorian veteran community.

The Veterans Capital Works Program

This program provides grants of between $5000-$50,000 for building and facility improvements to organisations that provide vital services to veterans and their families.

Examples of projects the Veterans Capital Works program include any modern refurbishments, increased accessibility and improved energy efficiency of appropriate buildings.

• Priority will be given to projects that improve or increase the effective use of facilities.
• Projects should be able to be completed within 12 months of the project approval date.
• Cash contribution and in-kind contributions towards the project will be favourably regarded.
• Proposals may include project management fees up to 10 per cent of the total project costs exclusive of GST (funding must not exceed the $50,000)

• Funding is contingent on the premises being used by the applicant for a minimum of two years post completion of the project.
• Organisations in receipt of revenue from electronic gaming may receive a lesser priority.

The Restoring Community War Memorials and Avenues of Honour Program

This program provides centres around the improvement and restoration of community war memorials, honour rolls and avenues of honour. Grants of $1000 to $50,000 are available under the program.

You cannot apply for this grant if the project has started.

Grants are open from: 21 October 2022 to 31 January 2023

The Victoria Remembers Grant Program

This provides grants of $1000 to $30,000 for projects commemorating the service of veterans as well as the education of Victorians regarding the numerous contributions of veterans and the veteran community. This may include veteran-centric exhibitions and commemorative services.

• Priority will be given to projects that honour, commemorate and/or educate about veterans service in impactful ways.
• Projects should be able to be completed within 12 months of the project approval date.
• You cannot apply for funding if your project has already commenced or will commence prior to the anticipated announcement date.
• Funding for this grant comes from the Community Support Fund, which means organisations that receive revenue from electronic gaming are not eligible to apply
• Receipt of previous funding is not indicative of future funding through this program

• Incomplete or incorrect applications may not be considered.
